This excellent program is warmly received by the General Assembly and the participating physicians. Lawmakers and their staff benefit from knowing good medical attention is close, and physicians enjoy spending a day in the Capitol, experiencing the political process.
Plan to spend a day in Jefferson City as MSMA’s Physician of the Day in the Capitol. Bring your family if you want. One physician per day is needed every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between Jan. 4 and May 18. Plan to arrive in the Capitol around 9:00 or 9:30 a.m., and stay until 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon (except Thursdays, when the House and Senate typically adjourn around noon).
